Horses on Carrot Island copyright 2014 Addie Hirschten Oil on Canvas 11" x 14" |
This painting is the first horse painting I've ever done! (Unless you count fourth grade drawings.) The horses on Carrot Island are all wild. This painting had to be done from a photo since they move so quickly. The sun was setting from the opposite direction creating amazing purple clouds to the east.
Congratulations--your first painting is wonderful! Great colors, and I think the horses look great, too. Enjoy the challenge!
ReplyDeleteScrumptious colors and absolutely killer clouds!

Thank you!

I thought you must be a western artist when I saw this one. It's beautiful! Reminds me of some wild horses I saw in Wyoming a couple of years ago. Well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting!
